It is a sound sketch constructed from various recordings using digital manipulation. This piece is inspired by water and landscape in Cappadocia region, Turkey. I recorded a short conversation near a fountain, not far from a shop by the street in Mustafapasa. There was a woman asking in Turkish “Where does the water come from?” A man, the shopkeeper, then answered, “From underground.” Most of the fountains are taking water from underground sources.
